Presonus Revelator

In January, as for most of 2020, the plan for many people is “stay at home, record podcasts or stream videos” – and as uncomplicated as possible and in excellent quality. The Presonus Revelator USB-C microphone with its integrated StudioLive speech effects, 2 stereo loopback channels for recording and streaming Skype or Zoom calls, gaming audio and more is just the thing we need. Thanks to the recording quality in 96 kHz / 24 bit, its 6 in / 6 out audio interface and switchable directional characteristics (cardioid, omnidirectional, figure eight), it is also ideal for home recording. Software to get started and the table stand are of course also included. Presonus has published a number of videos about this, here is one:

Evo 8

USB audio interfaces are either too big or too small, but never have enough channels… Not the case with the Evo 8, because it offers 4 inputs and 4 outputs (on USB-C) in a compact design that really fits anywhere and also looks extremely good. And the list of features is really big with this perfectly tidy unit: Smartgain, loopback function, 4 high-quality microphone preamps with 56 dB gain, 4 mic / line inputs via XLR / jack combo sockets with 48 V phantom power, discrete JFET Instrument input, 2 independent and separately controllable headphone outputs (6.3 mm jack). The DSP-based low latency software mixer has a flexible routing matrix and works really well on the laptop or on the desktop (MacOS 10.7.5 and up and Windows version 7 and up). You can find all the details in the video below:
