I have many years of experience with these strings, and are my first choice when restringing my electric guitars.
If you like traditional sounding strings, that have fullness and clarity but are not zzzingy (in lack of right word) and very bright with decent lifetime, look no further.

Just sounds better

I used those special strings for the first time, because I wasn't happy with other strings before and I felt my original 1976er LP Standard fell behind its PAT pickup tone possibilities. But with the vintage strings it got this special warm sound of the LP Standard and really makes a difference to me.

Der Vintage Reissue Saitensatz kommt seit dem Jahr 2013 bei meiner Gibson Les Paul zum Einsatz. Neu damit besaitet klingt die Gitarre sehr schön und sauber. Bei sehr intensiver Spielweise, wo die Saiten ordentlich gefordert werden, ist die Lebensdauer der Saiten aber leider nicht allzu lange, da muss ich spätestens nach drei Wochen neu besaiten, weil nicht nur der klare Klang flöten geht, sondern auch die Intonation trotz perfekt eingestellter Gitarre darunter leidet.

Das hat mich aber nie gestört, da dieser Saitensatz im Jahr 2013 lediglich 6,80€ gekostet hat und letztes Jahr im Sommer zumindest noch 8,90€, mittlerweile kosten diese Saiten aber stolze 10,90€ , darum habe ich beschlossen es mal mit Elixier-Saiten zu versuchen, weil diese in etwa in derselben Preisklasse liegen, einen sehr guten Ruf haben und vielleicht halten diese ja etwas länger.

Montées sur une Les Paul R8 du custom shop, le son est au rendez-vous c'est chaud, c'est rond : que du bonheur ! Au toucher ces cordes sont très agréables ça glisse tout seul. Côté longévité, je ne suis pas le mieux placé car je change mes cordes souvent. Par contre le gros point noir, c'est le prix, 8,90 le jeu de corde ça me paraît un peu excessif, les VR 10 que j'utilise habituellement sont à 6,90 et je pense que Gibson va en arrêter la fabrication...J'ai donc enlevé une étoile à cause du prix, pour le reste c'est du tout bon.
