Using thinner core wires and stronger pure nickel round wound these strings get a slightly weaker voltage. The result is a great feeling and perfectly balanced strings with remarkable tone and timbre. The single strings are refined at the ball with a coloured artificial silk.

Dal jsem je na 25 let starou LP Black Beauty, poté co prošla velkým servisem. A tyhle struny jsou opravdu něco!!! Extrémní sustain, vyvážená dynamika, vyvážené napětí. Zvukově mi trochu připomínají DR Pure Blues, ale je poznat, že jsou hex-core a předené struny jsou trochu pevnější, což mi ne krátkém krku přijde příjemnější.

struny s vintage charakterem, pevné basy, průrazné středy, měkké a příjemné výšky, intonují bezchybně, mně osobně nevydrží dlouho, což je vzhledem k ceně dost bolestivé, ale zatím jsem nenašel lepší. Používám na strata a tele.

Wonderful strings, but a little prone to fret buzz.

I love the sound of these strings. I like them better than the other hex core, pure nickel Pyramid strings (in the blue packaging). These green ones are more expensive though and I have no idea WHY I like them better. They just feel nicer under the fingers (a tiny bit more flexible?) and seem to have a SLIGHTLY smoother tone. Maybe these have a thinner core or something? In all other respects they seem very similar to the blue ones (apart from the silked ends that I frankly don't care about).

My only complaint is that compared to similar strings from other manufacturers I find that I have to raise the action slightly to avoid severe fret buzz. This unfortunately seems to be the case for most Pyramid roundwound strings. At least when I play them... But I love the sound and feel of these strings so much that I'm willing to make this compromise.

Not worth the price

I don't like the sound. It's quite dull and lacks attack and sustain.
But the main problem with these strings is that two of them were bent already in the package and even under tension they still have a little bump. A clear sign of poor manufacturing process.
This was my first and last string set from Pyramid, that's for sure!
