Must have for wooden instruments

A very easy to use compact device with a nice design that blends perfectly into your interiors. Very light as well. There are no complex menu options. Just a simple display with temperature and humidity measurements. If you are below or over normal humidity/temperature levels, the little smiley face on the display gets your attention. You can also check the MIN and MAX temp/humidity levels for the last 24 hours, so you always know whats going on inside your room.

The hygrometer is completely flat so you can hang it on a wall, as well as keep it on a flat surface, there is a small leg to support it. I like that you can read the measurements from few meters away, since the numbers are really big and clear. I bought it specificaly for my double bass, so I keep it close to the instrument.

The only downside is a plastic shell, so you need to be carefull if you want to use it as a portable device. Overal an affordable must-have for everyone who plays wooden instruments.

Could be improved.

Before I didn't pay attention but temperature and humidity levels in the place you live are not to be neglected(and not only because of the guitars), especially now when some of us are 90% of the time there. Because of this product I also bought humidifier to keep normal levels in my flat and this actually improved the tuning stability on my cheap Les Paul copy. This TFA Digital Thermo-Hygrometer worked like a charm for whole two years until the battery was empty, I was surprised considering it's price. But when I tried to open the battery compartment it was very stiff. After 10 mins of unsuccessful attempts, I just brute-forced it but something broke there. After that I wasn't able to put a new battery there.

Shortly, it's a good and accurate product but the battery compartment needs to be fixed.
Although I think £8.60 for two years of well working product it's fair.
