Surprisingly good!

noizelab, 23.04.2011
The micro was used as a replacement micro for Proberaum recordings, since the D112 (which I actually not particularly like) is often times on trips.
As always with my low-budget acquisitions, my expectation tends towards 0 - with the hope that something useful with the equipment can be made.

And - damn - the thing sounds really good. So not "well, for 60 EUR quite OK, but I was also too lazy to send it back and try to make the purchase now nice to talk" -good, but just "good" :-)

A very simple story: BD pure -> BD out, fader high - sounds :-)

In terms of sound, the Superlux manages to meet exactly my taste between "pre-EQed" and nevertheless, of course. Something the D112 eg does not create.
This is not to say that it is the Holy Grail, but it is - and that really surprised me - a serious, good sounding, robust and absolutely inexpensive BD-Micro that does not have to hide in the Proberaum and gladly times As a recording candidate can be used.

Both thumps up!

Good micro for little money

Marc G., 01.08.2010
I was looking for a bassdrum mic, where I got good sound for little money. After initial tests I can say that I have found it. First attempts with the decrease of a bassdrum were very positive. The micro has a good frequency response. Very deep and powerful basses and quite high emphasized highs, through which the Bassdrum does not sound so muffy.

I also tried using my guitar amp. This also sounds really good. However, you have to play with the EQ. I use it more to the guitars from below. Since this micro the bass decreases somewhat fuller than eg an SM57 or e606, but the heights a bit nerve (with electric guitars), it offers itself with a Hi-Cut the basses isolate and these then the guitar sound. This is a common practice, but first you need a good bassdrum micro. In my opinion this Superlux is a really good micro for its price. However, I have not compared it with the AKG egg, because I have none ;-)

The previous experiences, it is also I think really well for the acceptance of bass amps suitable. I will try this soon and am anxious to the result.

I think I will also try the times the Superlux instruments micro. Let's see how that compares with the competition. Since I have more comparisons.
