Can't live without one now

I first tried one of these a few years back by ordering direct from the states. Ordering from thomann gives you the same size and finish options and is a much simpler process. I looked into these after watching Scott Holiday from RIval Sons playing live. He was able to switch from slide to conventional playing in the blink of an eye. This is the main selling point of these and it really does work! I don't think I could gig without one now. I previously had the glass finished one but there's not a huge difference in feel or tone between that and the brass. It's a little harder to intonate than a traditional slide but the trade-off in flexibility is worth the extra work. Make sure you get the size correct. I went for a slightly bigger size than before as my fingers swell slightly due to playing in warm places when gigging.

Great Slide

This is a new style of slide for me. However, I have grown to like it. It takes some getting used to in order to play cords then shift to slide, but it is comfortable and I caught on quick.
It seems to be made well and I expect years of use.
The quality is similar to other metal slides I have, but brighter than a glass one (all my metal slides are like this).

Fonctionnel, son à travailler

En adaptant l'anneau au doigt (annulaire obligatoire) ce système est fonctionnel et pratique car on conserve vraiment le jeu des 4 doigts. Prévoir un peu d'exercice pour les changements rapide entre slide et jeu normal. Le son slide reste tout de même un peu moins épaisse qu'avec un slide classique mais plus facile à contrôler.

intuitif et confortable

Je débute au bottleneck, pour un morceau de notre groupe, le bottleneck classique me gonfle : je ne me sens pas libre dedans. J'ai tenté le jetslide après avoir vu des vidéos. Ce qui m'intéressait c'était de pouvoir jouer au bottleneck, jouer sans, le remettre, puis encore sans ... plusieurs fois dans le morceau. Et ben ça marche nickel. je dirais que pour un débutant c'est pas plus difficile de s'y mettre là-dessus que sur un bottleneck classique. Pour quelqu'un qui est déjà très bon au bottleneck, faudra s'ahabituer car s'est très différent. Mais c'e'st beaucoup plus intuitif et pratique qu'on pourrait s'imaginer. Les finitions ne sont pas excellentes, c'est plutôt artisanal comme truc, ça me déplaît pas, c'est pas un bijou. Mais c'est efficace. Attention aux tailles ! faut bien choisir, et donc aller sur le site du fabricant qui vous explique comment mesurer la circonférence de votre doigt pour choisir le bon modèle.
