Long Lasting. Solid tuning strings.

ever since I fitted these strings to my daughters warlock i have been incredibly impressed with how long they have lasted without needing to be replaced. Tonally they are crisp and clean, and in conjunction with the emg 80/85 pickups they growl through the heaviest riffs but can clean up beautifully for melodic shredding.

not really have any cons except that after a fair amount of use, the coating comes off in the picking area of the guitar if you use very hard picks. these are not the strings to use with any metal pick type at all.

Just going on looks, they are almost invisible on a black guitar with a black fretboard. One of the other guitarists in the band thought she had rotten strings that were dirty and worn until he looked closer and saw that they were in perfect condition, just very black!

If you are the sort of player who sweats acid, then these strings will save you a fortune.

The sound is terrible, dull, the color wears of after two hours of playing, waste of money.

Schwarze Gitarrensaiten dienen in erster Linie natürlich erst mal der Optik. Die Black Beauties machen da schon viel her, besonders auf meiner schwarzen V. Die Saiten erzeugen einen überzeugenden Klang und gutes Sustain. Aufgrund der Stärke eignen sie sich auch fürs Drop-tuning ohne an Klang zu verlieren.

Hinweis: die schwarze Farbe blättert nach und nach ab (besonders bei Pickgebrauch), dann erscheint das darunter liegende Silber. Da dieses ungleichmässig geschieht, entsteht ein aus meiner Sicht recht hübscher Vintagelook. Und bis der Lack ganz verschlissen ist, muß man sie sowiso austauschen. Das bedeutet aber auch Putzarbeit an der Gitarre, da sich viele kleine Lackreste von den Saiten auf der Gitarre verteilen.
Preislich liegen die Black Beauties meines erachtens etwas zu hoch, aber was tut man nicht alles fürs Posen, daher Kaufempfehlung.
