A customer's Crafter CT120 Acoustic's electrics died. After fault finding, it turned out to be the preamp, and even a re-cap of the board didn't resolve. Trying to find a replacement LR-F LR Baggs Preamp proved impossible for over 6 months, none to be found, even used.
I took a chance on this preamp as it was slightly wider but overall looked like a good candidate ... and well what do you know, it pretty much works.
You do need to modify the lower metal retaining plate by filing off some of the curve for it to fit in. After installation, the rear 2 holes from the original preamp are covered, but the front 2 remain visible. I've filled these in and colour matched the aged binding and wood and it's all but imperceptible that this is not the original unit - it's that good of a fit.
Hopefully this will help anyone else searching for a drop in replacement for the Crafter CT120 preamp when their LR Baggs unit dies.
