I bought these because Chris Barocsi of Thomann recommended them on his YT channel. Said they help with intonation and are not prone to sitar sounds because they have a groove.
With intonation, they help somewhat, but I later bought Gotoh in-tune saddles, and they intonate like two times better than these.
Also, since these have a groove, the pressure from strings is far greater at that point (smaller surface area) compared to standard round saddles. So the strings cut through the soft brass in no time at all, deepening the groove, messing up intonation and making the guitar sound like a sitar.
So not only it these do not help against sitar sounds, they actually last a lot less compared to saddles without grooves. Pffft.
TL;DR save yourself some tears and buy Gotoh instead. Or Fender compensated saddles.
