Ce l’ho solo da due giorni, ma ho già capito che si tratta di una macchina straordinaria.
Da oltre un anno desideravo ricreare questa channel strip con i moduli 500, ma l’investimento era sempre piuttosto impegnativo. Sentivo che SSL avrebbe prima o poi rilasciato la sua strip completa, ed è per questo che ho preferito aspettare.

Le funzioni sono numerose e l’unità è davvero completa.
Il de-esser è molto piacevole e il gate sorprende: già solo attivandolo su cassa e rullante si ottiene un suono importante. L’equalizzatore è eccellente: le alte hanno il carattere tipico del suono SSL, mentre i bassi sono rotondi e musicali. Come sulla console originale, è possibile selezionare tra la modalità “Brown” o “Black”, dettaglio che rende questa macchina ancora più versatile.

Mi sta piacendo moltissimo e conto di acquistarne presto un secondo esemplare, perché è un hardware che dà il meglio di sé in coppia.
