Eurorack Module

Quadrature spectral computer
Synthesiser voice and signal processor based on a lock-in amplifier
Consists of an input section with signal amplifier and bandpass filter, through-zero quadrature sine oscillator and detector section
Examples of use: complex stereo oscillator, percussion synthesiser, frequency shifter, filter, amplifier, distortion/waveshaper, ring modulator and more
Input amplifier (-20 dB to +30 dB) with level indicator
Bandpass filter with adjustable frequency, bandwidth, resonance, post-filter gain VCA and switchable tracking (internal oscillator)
Quadrature sine wave oscillator with switchable LFO mode, control for rough and fine tuning, exponential FM input with bipolar attenuator, through-zero FM input with bipolar attenuator and adjustable modulation symmetry
Detector section with switchable dome filter, 2 ring modulators with inputs (normalised to input section and internal oscillator), 2 low-pass filters (-12 dB/oct.) with adjustable frequency and 2 selectable frequency ranges
2 Audio inputs and trigger input (ping)
Outputs for amplifier/bandpass filter, oscillator, both low-pass filters, sum and difference of the detector, magnitude and phase
CV inputs for all parameters

Just when I think I understand what the module does... I'm thrown into an abyss of unknown depth. And I like it. A lot! But beware: It might open a 5D extradimensional portal to Hainbach's tape dungeon.

Komplex auf die gute Art

Man kann dieses Modul auf verschiedene Art sehen: als eine Toolbox mit vielen interessanten Einzelfunktionen, oder als komplexe Verschaltung mit hohem Potential für organische Verläufe und Klänge.

Die Verarbeitung ist wie immer bei Joranalogue auf höchstem Niveau, die Reglerbereiche sind gut ausgelegt und laden zum Improvisieren ein, wobei die Reaktion des Systems (fast) immer einleuchtend musikalisch ausfallen.

Beigelegt ist ein Faltblatt, dass die innere Struktur anschaulich beschreibt: sehr hilfreich!, - wenn man schon Erfahrung mitbringt. Ich sehe viel Potential auf lange Zeit …

Jedenfalls aber ist das Modul für Anfänger vermutlich eher erschlagend, und vielleicht daher nicht als erstes Modul empfohlen, für etwas erfahrenere Synthesisten aber eröffnet sich ein weites Feld an Möglichkeiten.
