A great upgrade!

I never knew how much the snare drum sound could be effected by the wires until I replaced my old ones with these. My old wires were stock, 20 strand (actually 19 because one broke off), with a plastic band as a strap.

As soon as I changed to these it was like a different snare drum! I love my snare drum tuned high and with a very delicate and precise snare response - and these wires are the real deal! Seems like good quality as well - sturdy, well made. A great buy for this price - good wires are worth the money!

Ok but not perfect

If the quality of these snares were better they would be perfect, it's the solder that the wires are melted into, they seem to come loose under heavy playing, iv tried 4 over a few yrs and all have done the same. Shame really cause you can actually hear the difference.

these wires definitely livened up my tama snare, since the model came with only 16 strands I needed something just like these for higher tuning. top product. definitely would recommend.
