I have a microphone stand thats clamped to my desk, and when the mic isn't in use, I fold the stand away so that the mic is hanging upside down. I was a bit skeptical how well this would hold my mic cause theres no tightening screws or clamps or anything, you just slide the mic in, but atleast AT2020 goes in very tightly and doesn't fall off even turned upside down, which was a nice surprise.

I didn't do AB testing, but its very apparent that there is alot less vibrations traveling to the mic compared to the mic holder that comes with the AT2020. I would say this is a necessity on desk mounted mic setups.
