beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 80 Ohm

I bought these headphones so I could play guitar, and possibly electric drums if I am ever going to buy a set in the future.

The headphones are great, they are comfortable after a while, in the beginning I felt they were kind of itchy or strange feeling, but after a few weeks I got used to them. I even used them for a few months as my outdoor headphones when my bluetooth headphones broke, unfortunately the cable is way too long for that use, so I wouldn't recommend them for that. The headphones also wrap really well around my ears so although they aren't noise cancelling, I can't really hear my neighbours banging the wall or arguing with each other when I'm trying to learn a new song.

The sound quality is great, I think these are perfect for playing because they are comfortable after a while, and the sound is what I can only describe natural. The long cable is also good for that, because I don't need to stand right next to my amp all the time when playing. The cable is not braided, so I guess for some people that would be kind of a premium feature, but I think the overall quality seems pretty good, and I had no issues with it even using it outdoors. The headphones altogether seem pretty sturdy and I am not worried about them breaking when I use them.

I am disappointed the phones don't have a removable cable, that removes one star from the entire review, because it means if the cable breaks, you need to buy a new pair of headphones. If only beyerdynamic could find their way to 2020 with this product and make one with removable cable. Also a shorter replacement cable would mean I could use them outside too, although I guess it is a kind of fashion suicide to wear these outside. I don't know, I just don't care about that. The cable feels sturdy though, it's just, I'd rather be able to replace that sturdy cable with another in case I'm unlucky, you know?

The padding on the cups can be removed but according to youtube videos it can be a bit tricky, so maybe check those out before buying so you can be certain if you really want to go through that stuff, because these are fabric, and people sweat, hair gets greasy, maybe you wear make up, I don't know, all I'm saying is, you may want to wash these things eventually or just replace them. Be sure that it isn't a deal breaker because to me in hindsight it might've been one combined with the cable thing that I am now mentioning way too many times.

All in all, the product is great at its price range and I would recommend it for home use.

Olin vertaillut jo pitkään tämän hintaluokan studiotason kuulokkeita. Tutustuin beyerdynamicin sekä muiden valmistajien muihin malleihin mm. videoiden ja tuote-esittelyiden avulla. Lopulta päädyin beyerdynamicin DT-770:een, koska monet lähteet antoivat ymmärtää, että kyseessä on yksi suosituimmista studiokuulokkeista maailmassa ja ne antavat hintaansa nähden paljon.

Tämä pitää ehdottomasti paikkansa. Nämä kuulokkeet eivät tee itsestään numeroa, mutta hoitavat ehdottomasti sen mihin ne on tarkoitettu. Taajuusvaste on melkolailla flat, mutta matalassa päässä on ehkä pienehkö korostuneisuus. Itse en koe sitä kuitenkaan haitalliseksi ominaisuudeksi. Kuulokkeet ovat 80 Ohmiset, joten pärjään ainakin omassa käytössäni (kitaran soittelu, mixaus) hyvin ilman erillistä kuulokevahvistinta.

Kuulokkeet istuvat hyvin päähän ja eristävät ulkopuolista ääntä hyvin. Säätövaraa löytyy ja huopapehmusteet tuntuvat mukavalta päässä. Kuulokkeiden rakenne on tukeva ja huoliteltu.

Ainoana pienenä miinuksena pidän kiinteää johtoa. Irrotettavaa kaipaa lähinnä kuljetuksessa ja säilytyksessä. Mukana tulee kätevä kuljetuspussi, mutta sinnekin kuulokkeet sujahtaisivat vaivattomammin, jos johdon saisi kierrettyä irti. Tämä on kuitenkin hyvin pieni miinus eikä tietenkään vaikuta millään tavalla kuuntelukokemukseen.

Suosittelen näitä ehdottomasti, jos hakusessa on edulliset, mutta pomminvarmat studiotason kuulokkeet!

Olen käyttänyt kys. kuulokkeita nyt vuoden verran ja ovat toimineet moitteettomasti koko ajanjakson ajan, vaikka meno on välillä ollut kivikkoista.

Kuulokkeiden elementit toistavat matalat ja korkeat äänet juuri minulle sopivasti. Kuulokkeiden pehmusteet ovat mukavan tuntuiset eikä korvat rasitu pidemmässäkään kuuntelusessiossa.

Pientä miinusta voisin antaa kuulokkeiden "tönkköisyydestä". Sanka on jäykkä ja kuulokkeet eivät taitu oikeastaan ollenkaan kasaan , joka hieman vaikeuttaa kuljetusta.

They deserve their reputation. In short, they are worth every (in my case) euro and are the perfect pair of headphones for someone who simply loves, and very much cares about, their audio but is either unwilling or unready to dive deeper into the world of amplifiers and the like.

For a longer explanation: the comfort is as excellent as it looks like (they're actually ligher in my opinion than they might look). The sound is exactly that wonderfully detailed soundscape I was hoping for. The sounstage is a bit (but I do mean a bit) smaller than some other headphones I've used but it has still always managed to feel spacious - certainly never 'cramped'. That relative lack of it was a reason I was initially slightly hesitant to pick these - so if you're like me, a fellow enthusiastic of spaciousness: don't worry.

The build quality deserves its own paragraph. I move around a great deal while listening to music and other audio, and these have remained as good as news even after a year of that.

Finally, if you're like me and unsure if you can run the 80 ohms without an amp - I have a midrange desktop from 2018 and have had 0 issues.
