I am a professional cellist and have had all kind of strings, the classic Larsen (solo and standard) + Spirocore, Evah Pirazzi, Belcanto Gold, Permanent, Jargar... you name it. My favourites are hands down the Versum, a bit dark sounding but warm and round. They last also very long time without loosing much quality (the opposite from the Larsen).

Ich hatte anfangs einen vollen Satz Larsen Magnacore mittel auf meinem Cello. Insgesamt war das sehr zufriedenstellend, allerdings neigte die G-Saite, insbesondere beim Spielen der leeren Saite, zum metallischen Klirren.
Meine Cellolehrerin empfahl mir aus eigener Erfahrung die Thomastik Versum G Saite und tatsächlich klingt diese Saite deutlich weniger scharf/metallisch, sie passt jetzt deutlich besser zu den anderen Saiten, ohne wesentlich an Intensität/Power eingebüßt zu haben. Auch in höheren Lagen klingt sie sehr schön, der Wolf auf dem f ist deutlich weniger ausgeprägt als mit der Magnacore-Saite zuvor.
