Thomann Prim Balalaika 3-strings

This instrument is a good compromise between quality and price but some improvements have to be made.


PROS:
-Nice look, nice finish
-Interesting price for an uncommon instrument

CONS:
-Bad quality strings that rapidly have to be changed (appropriate guitar strings can be used)
-The brigde should be glued; its moves fastly out-tune the instrument
-Tuners are cheap-craft; however with the two previous improvements it keeps the tune quite well though it's a little tricky to set it precisely
-The gloss is nice but too thick and it smothers part of the sound


CONCLUSION:
An accessible instrument that with a few easy improvements is a good compromise for a beginner or a part-time user
However, if you're looking for a good instrument (eg you're a good player) you definitely should choose another one.
