The best yet

I have numerous soprano mouthpieces, some of which work very well, but the Ambika 3 outplays them all. It has a quite 'dark' sound (which is what I want), but when pushed brightens up a lot. It has also has considerable projection. Intonation is excellent, and it is very easy-blowing and flexible. I can't really imagine finding a soprano piece that will suit me better than the Ambika. Yes, it's expensive, but you really do get what you pay for.

Great Effortless sound

I got the equivalent in Tenor and man...they sound amazing. The Ambika is easy to blow and easy to control volume. They are resonant but dark and warm as nothing else I have tried so far. It has a great and comfortable feel in the mouth, as it's overall design is similar size to a metal mouthpiece. Quality of mouthpiece, ligature and case is impeccable. Beautiful case and guide inside.Highly recommend. Thank you Theo, thank you Thomann!

Die letzten Nuancen

Kosten etwas mehr.
Vom Klang her, das was ich suchte.
Allerdings fühlt sich das Material sehr leicht an.
Die Blattschraube ist ne Nummer für sich, gloldglanzedel, aber das Blatt verrutschte beim Stimmen ständig und ich fürchtete das filigrane Teilchen in kürzester Zeit zu zerstören.
Fazit. Nix für mich.

ich war ein bißchen skeptisch aufgrund des hohen Preises, ob sich die Anschaffung lohnt. Als Otto Link Nutzer mußte schon etwas besonderes passieren, damit sich die Investition lohnt. Der Sound ist ähnlich, etwas klarer, die Ansprache phantastisch und die Bespielbarkeit ist mit weniger Druck weniger anstrengend als mit meinem OttoLink. Die Ligatur ist etwas kantig und wuchtig für so ein kleines Mundstück; funktioniert, jedoch benutze ich eine Silverstein Schnurwicklung mit der Omnicap.
Eine Kapsel war leider auch nicht dabei, deshalb einen Punkt Abzug bei der Verarbeitung. In dieser Preisklasse wünscht man sich schon bessere Lösungen für Befestigung und Schutz des ansonsten hervorragenden Mundstücks. Es macht Spaß damit zu spielen, Altissimo spricht gut an, Intonation super und es ist weniger anstrengend im lauten und leisen Spielbereich
