Great value for money

I was undecided between getting the Yamaha P-37D Pianica and the Suzuki M-37C Plus, and after a couple of months I can say I'm more than happy I went for the latter.

The melodica itself is really well made and looks and feels like a quality instrument with the metal corpus. It comes with a pretty handy softshell carry bag and one "goose neck" mouthpiece.

What's most important though is the sound quality, of course. Does it outclass higher end Hammond melodions? Probably not, but it produces clear, consistend tones and certainly sounds like a proper instrument and not a toy. It also arrived in good tune out of the box. I recommend you check out some YouTube videos to hear the direct comparison with the Yamaha - personally I prefer the cleaner, more straightforward tune vs the Yamaha (which reminds me a bit more of a melodeon).

With sound and design being a matter of persoal preference, what makes this one stand out is the goose neck mouthpiece it comes with. Unlike the elastic plastic tubes you get for most melodicas, this one is actually a rigid neckpiece with plastic/metal segments that you can bend in shape. I found this super comfortable and convenient for playing while standing up and holding the instrument in your hands as nothing flaps around. It would have been great if it came with another short mouthpiece, but given that the flexible mouthpiece alone costs around 40 euros, this is really a neat little package.

I would highly recommend this if you want to experiment and have some fun with a melodica that sound and feels like a proper instrument, but don't have the need (or ambition) to shell out the money for a higher end model.

So, meine allererste Bewertung. Also ich besitze noch die Hammond pro 44h v2. Eine edles Instrument, was mir allerdings immer noch etwas Ehrfurcht einflößt. Auf jeden Fall keine Melodika, die man überall mithin nimmt, als habe ich noch nach einer weiteren Melodika gesucht. Verwöhnt von der Hammond, reichte mir die Thomann Melodika dann nicht mehr, die für den Preis einen wirklich tollen Klang hat, aber die Ansprache ist ein ganz andere, auf der Hammond kann man einfach viel flüssiger schneller und leichter spielen. Mit der Suzuki M-37C plus habe ich eine Melodika oder Melodion gefunden, die die gleiche Ansprache wie die Hammond hat, man muss die Tasten wirklich nur ganz leicht berühren und es macht einfach großen Spaß sie zu spielen. Ich hatte sie jetzt mit im Urlaub und es ist die perfekte Melodika um sie draußen zu spielen. Sie ist eindeutig lauter als die Hammond und ihr Klang erinnert schon an ein Akkordeon. Damit ist sie für mich die perfekte Ergänzung zur Hammond Melodika, da beide einen sehr unterschiedlichen Sound haben. Der Sound von der Hammond ist viel feiner, perfekt für melodische melancholische Stücke. Mir gefällt die Suzuki auch optisch sehr gut, ich finde sieht genauso aus wie sie klingt. Also ich hatte schon viel Spaß mit ihr und werde es auch noch weiter habe. Und ich finde die gute Ansprache macht es gerade auch Anfänger leichter mit spielen anzufangen. Und im Gegensatz zu den einfachen Melodikas ist sie schon ein richtiges Instrument, das man schon braucht, wenn man wirklich richtig spielen will.

Bon instrument pour débuter

Un instrument étonnant pour son prix. Il est tout en plastique mais cela reste correct. Il est livré dans un étui pratique. On remarque la possibilité de purger l'eau de condensation à l'intérieur, c'est bien. Le son est celui du mélodica, assez puissant quand on souffle fort, et aussi dosable en intensité. Un bon instrument pour la découverte de celui-ci.

el M-37C ofrece un buen funcionamiento del teclado y su sonido es muy cálido. Ofrece un amplio rango de expresividad. Estaría bien que viniese con una funda más sólida, pero en general la relación calidad/precio es muy satisfactoria.
