I bought the headphones for mixing in my home studio and also for listening to music occasionally. Previously, I used only Sennheiser HD280Pro for a long time, which definitely cannot be compared to this model. The HD490Pro have a very detailed sound, very analytical, but not sterile. The image in the bass is really rich, the midrange is OK and so are the highs, which also provide enough detail and, above all, do not sound unpleasant.
What I appreciate is:
- Sound!
- Impedance value (150 Ohm, no problem on any device)
- Comfort of wearing! (even after two hours of listening, no fatigue, as if one had nothing on his head)
- Weight (very light)
- Soft foam ear pads (I wear glasses and the ear pads do not press on the legs of the glasses)
- Mini XLR cable with the option of connecting to the left or right earcup
What bothers me:
The DEAR VR plug-in in Cubase completely freezes the entire Cubase after launch, which crashes and wants to restart (Win11, Intel Core I9, 64GB RAM). I wrote several times for support, but the manufacturer does not respond. You could forgive yourself for such a plug-in.
