I have the Risa electric tenor uke and I recently got a short scale (22.75 inch scale) electric guitar. I am very short, with T-Rex length arms and the word's tiniest hands on an actual adult. I play with these instruments quite high: my days of low slung guitars are well behind me, if they were ever in front of me! Finding a strap that goes short enough (around 85cm) yet is strong enough to hold a heavy, electric solid body instrument securely is surprisingly difficult. The Risa also has a tendency to neck dive which I find annoying but is its only fault. I took advice from Gibson SG players, who also have the same problem, and sought a thick leather strap that would grip my shoulder preventing the neck dive. I looked, and looked and looked. These Richter ukulele straps were the only ones I could find that matched my needed criteria. I ordered two, one for each instrument. They work fantastically. They are really thick leather and fit securely over the strap buttons (I also have a button lock just in case). They go short enough that I can play with the instruments high up and the Risa no longer neck dives. They are very strong: I temporarily put one on an Epiphone Les Paul I'd treated myself to, also played high, but because it's a larger instrument the strap doesn't need to be quite so short and so ordinary guitar straps just about work. Les Pauls are not light instruments, but the strap coped fabulously and I'd have had no worries about leaving the Richter on the Les Paul permanently even though it's designated as a ukulele strap. Absolutely fantastic quality.
