Great entry level bongos

For the small price I payed I am very pleased with these bongos. They have lasted many years now as I have made sure they are du-tuned when not in use.

They are a little fiddly to tune, but once you have done it a few times is relatively easy.

They have been taken to many salsa weekenders and many clubs and are always nabbed by people to play them.

The case that came with them is light, and fits the bongos well. The zip still works, but the strap is a little flimsy but for the price you just can't argue.

The only negative thing I can say about these is that the metal holding the skin on is quite high to the top of the drum so you can hit your hands on them if you are not careful.

Overall, very happy with my purchase.

Tolle Bongos zu einen unglaublichen Preis

Ich hatte vor 6 Monaten die Gelegenheit mal wieder etwas Percussion in einer Big Band zu machen. Dies hatte ich schon ein paar Jahre zuvor getan, aber wegen Studium und Umzug aufgegeben. Allerdings musste jetzt auch das nötige Equipment her.

Da man als Student ja nicht so ein Budget hat, machte ich mich auf die Suche nach Congas und Bongos, im festen Glauben nichts zu finden. Da stolperte ich über Millenium und dachte naja die taugen bestimmt nichts, haben aber gute Bewertungen und zur Not gibst Du sie halt zurück.

Aber ich bin begeistert. Hätte nie gedacht, dass man für so wenig Geld so ein tolles Instrument bekommt. Der Sound stellt nicht nur mich zufrieden, sondern auch die anderen 23 Musiker in der Big Band.

Habe sie jetzt 6 Monate im Einsatz und bis jetzt sind mir keine Mängel aufgefallen. Die Verarbeitung ist für diesen Preis gut. Und für meine Verhältnisse ausreichend. Das stimmen geht einfach von der Hand. Ich nutze sie ständig und spiele damit auch bei Auftritten ohne ein schlechtes Gewissen zu haben.

Zusätzlich habe ich noch einen Meinl NINO20 Bongoständer dazubestellt. Dafür sind die Bongos zwar nicht direkt gemacht, mit etwas Fummelei aber hält er die Bongos sicher und steht stabil. Einzig runter und wieder rauf montieren würde ich sie so selten wie möglich. Evtl. wäre da der passende Milleniumständer besser gewesen, dazu kann ich aber nichts sagen.

Alles in allem klare Kaufempfehlung man kriegt richtig was für sein Geld, mehr als man erwarten mag.

Machen einfach Spass

Ich habe mir die Bongos zum Musik machen mit meinen Kindern bestellt. Superschnelle Lieferung von Thomann, zwei Tage nach der Bestellung waren die Teile schon hier. Die Bongos sind in einem Karton ungepolstert verpackt. Der Karton ist passgenau auf die Bongos zugeschnitten und das Ganze war auch noch in einem größeren Karton mit anderen Artikeln zusammen verpackt. Den Transport hat alles in einwandfreiem Zustand überstanden. Im Karton mit den Bongos war außerdem noch ein kleiner schwarzer Beutel mit einem Schraubenschlüssel zum Stimmen.

Die Bongos selbst sind in der Qualität ganz ok. In rot mit dem leicht hellbraunen Fell machen sie sogar einen fast edlen Eindruck. Noch nicht ganz klar bin ich mir wie genau diese Teile gestimmt werden müssen. Ich bin da noch am herumexperimentieren, habe aber immerhin schon vom anfänglichen Klang eines Schuhkartons den typischen Bongo-Sound erreicht. Die Felle erscheinen mir qualitativ nicht besonders hochwertig. Die Bongos machen trotzdem einen Riesenspass und für 29 EUR kann man da wirklich nichts falsch machen.
