Hipshot quality!!!

I have had these on one of my guitars for over a decade.
Best locking tuners I have ever had, small, neat and precise.
The make is perfect as I have always experienced with all things Hipshot, and installing them is a piece of cake, however because of the different position of the anchoring screw, you do have to make sure they are straight before you drill the new holes.
Extra plus, they are sold separately so you have no problems in terms of which set to order, you just get as many left and right sided as you need and done, love it.
Honestly, the only product on pair with these Hipshots are the Planet Waves Auto-Trim tuners, but with the Planet waves you do have the issue of being limited by the available sets (6 standard in line or 3x3), and that's a problem since most of my guitars have 4x2 or 3x4.
All in all, you need high end tuners, do yourself a favor and get these Hipshots.

I bought these (and the L BK also) for my 8 string and honestly, not a single complaint with the R ones! Super easy to install, pretty stable tuners and would recommend

Poor Quality Control

I bought 6 of these tuners (3 left, 3 right) and none of them work as they are supposed to. They look really nice and appear to be well made but...... The locking pins don't retract when the wheel is turned unless you hit them really hard into the palm of your hand. This would make it impossible to put strings in once its on the guitar unless you are prepared to hit the guitars headstock and risk damage. If it was just one of the tuners i would chalk it up to bad luck but as all 6 have the same problem then it means there is a quality control problem. Considering the price I would expect way better from a large well known company. I will be getting a refund and buying from a different manufacturer.
