Die Gotohs kamen bei mir als Ersatz für die ab Werk verbauten Hipshot Ultralite (licensed), die ihrerseits zwar bereits sehr leicht sind, die aber meines Erachtens nach nicht gleichmäßig drehen, wenn man das so sagen kann. Die GB350 sind noch ein paar Gramm auf den Satz leichter und sind auch vom Stimmverhalten sehr gleichmäßig und drehen angenehm mittel-leicht.

Punkto Montage: Das Schraubloch stimmt mit meinem alten Hipshot-Satz überein, aufpassen muss man jedoch auf die Größe des Bohrlochs für die Hülsen. Bei den Hipshot liegt der Durchmesser bei etwa 15,8mm, die Gotohs weisen hier 14mm auf. Mit dem 3D-Drucker habe ich mir aus PLA die entsprechenden Hülsenadapter gedruckt, damit die Tuner kein Spiel haben - passt!

I use Gotoh tuners on all of my guitars and basses. They are all rock solid.

This set was purchased as a direct replacement for an LTD F5E with a neck dive problem. These cut down the total weight of the tuners down by more than a third; going from over 300g to just under 200g for the whole set. Thats a lot of leverage on a 35” scale neck. My LTD dives no more..

In terms of function, well, these are Gotohs. If there is something better out there I wanna to know about it..

The keys are coated plastic, and have a texture to them. They look like chrome and feel grippy while tuning. Cant complain. Might break if you have a habbit of using your bass as an MOE tool though..

If you dont care about the weight, save some (or a lot of) cash and buy the Gotoh 707’s. But if you do, these are some the lightests tuners out there, and will make a difference. Go for it. You know you want to..
