Solid woods and excellent build quality on par with instruments costing 2 or 3 times it's price.
The solid Spruce top and solid Walnut body give a lovely clean bright sound and even with the stock Aquila nylgut strings it has really good volume and reasonable sustain. A string upgrade will improve on this even more. The fretboard is very comfortable with no sharp edges and the 37mm nut makes it just that little bit easier for larger fingers. Set up was perfect straight from the box at 2.9mm at the 12th fret.
Along with a great sound, which I'm sure with will improve even more with age, it has great looks. Open pore satin finish, beautiful book matched flamed maple and nice details including wooden bindings, off set mother of pearl half moon fret markers, lovely sound hole rosette, comfort edge and inlayed logo on the head stock.

Kiefer und Ahorn hat schon 1688 Antonio Stradivari für seine Barock-Gitarre genommen
und der ist ja nun einmal für seine hervorragenden Instrumente berühmt geworden.
Baton Rouge hat hier also , gewollt oder ungewollt, eine alte Tradition des Instrumentenbaus
fortgesetzt und dabei gar nichts falsch gemacht.

Ein Instrument komplett aus massiven Hölzern sollte auch entsprechend klingen. Und genau das macht diese kleine Schönheit auch. Hervorragendes Schwingungsverhalten und Klangreinheit bringen einen dazu immer weiter spielen zu wollen.

So ein schönes, hochwertiges Instrument zu diesem Preis muss man einfach kaufen oder man hat den Schuss... sorry....Klang nicht gehört ...... ;-)

Ich habe die M600 von Martin aufgezogen aber das ist reine Geschmackssache. Das Instrument klingt auch mit der Werksbesaitung hervorragend.

Ich könnte noch viel schreiben, zum Beispiel über die sehr dünne , gut schwingende und doch massive Fichtendecke. Da haben teurere Instrumente oft echte „Bretter“ nach dem Motto „Hauptsache massiv“. Auch das wunderschöne Walnuß-Binding oder der Armrest wären erwähnenswert.

Aber was soll es, holt euch das Schmuckstück einfach dann könnt ihr selbst ins Schwärmen kommen.

Meine Empfehlung: Wer nicht kauft ist selbst schuld.....
