First unit was was faulty. 5 sec playback, then switched off, again and again.
Tried with my 2019 MB Pro and 2022 iPad Pro and beahaved the same. So I returned the unit (not reclaimed, didn't want to wait the potential repairment time..) and immediatelly bought another one .
Disappointment, but shit can happened even with such an expensive brand with such a tradition:-)
The second unit worked perfectly fine. I love the look, the simplicity, the functions and the sound!! One Neve unit, two channels, iPad and you:-) I will not bother with how amazing the recordings sound. Recorder voice, direct bass and guitar, acoustic guitar with SM57, TLM102, Cascade FatHead II and directly. The recorded tracks sound so natural/obvoius, that you wonder, why the rest of the audio interfaces does't sound the same? The same sampling rate, bit depth, electronic parts, but my Focusrite 18i8 sounds simply just like any another interface. Why? To know how to position the mic, just a touch of high-pass filter and you have THE sound.

I opened the case and found the center of the unit's top surface has a slight bow...and after 2 week the bow was more than 10mm high:( Pity with the 1000Euro 2 input Neve soundcard...
So, I sent the unit back. 30.10. Thomann sent the unit to Neve and 19.12. the unit was repaired back. Already second faulty one, one and half months without the unit, Neve took one month to change the cover case and the top after repairement has on one side a little bit bump...
