This Book of Selections from Star Wars for Recorder is a Great Book for the Younger Player.

The concept of the Book is a hybrid of Music and Entertainment in the form of pictures and graphics from the Star Wars Movies. I think this adds interest for the younger players as it gives the music added connection to the films.

The Music is written in very large print, which again points it more to the younger player. The arrangements are clean and match the music originally written by John Williams very well.

My only complaint would be the use of flats and sharps. If this book is meant for youngsters then putting D flat and B sharp in the music to my mind seams much more difficult to read than C sharp and C natural.

That aside I would recommend this to any young recorder player who likes the Star Wars Movies.

Empfehlenswert für kleine Star Wars Fans

Unser Sohn spielt seit 3 1/2 Jahren Flöte. Wir haben ihm dieses Notenheft als Star Wars Fan geschenkt. Er war sehr motiviert, alle Lieder spielen zu können. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad war einfach bis mittel.

Positives

Die Blockflöte als solche wird erklärt, genauso wie Notenwerte und die dazugehörigen Pause.
Zwei simple Arrangements zum Einstieg. (Je zwei Zeilen)
Sehr groß gedruckt - dementsprechend sehr übersichtlich.
Mehrere Bilder aus den Filmen sind abgebildet.

Negatives

In den Noten stehen Buchstaben. D.h. in einen C wird der Buchstabe "C" stehen. Dies scheint für Anfänger gut und macht es für dieses leichter schnellere Erfolgserlebnisse zu haben, behindert allerdings nur das Erlernen des Lesens von Noten.
