Four headphone outs, four stereo ins
The Millenium HP4 is a compact headphone amplifier featuring four independent headphone outputs and four stereo inputs, allowing each output to receive a different stereo mix. A front-panel rotary switch on each channel selects which of the four stereo inputs feeds that output – or cuts the channel entirely – effectively turning the HP4 into a compact 4×4 matrix mixer rather than a conventional headphone distribution amplifier. Each channel also provides an auxiliary output mirroring the headphone feed, allowing additional HP4 units to be linked together when more headphone outputs are required. The unit has sufficient output power to drive high-impedance studio headphones without difficulty.

A headphone amplifier is an essential part of any project or home studio where musicians require individual monitor mixes during recording. The HP4 is equally effective on stage, where traditional wedge systems have increasingly found themselves replaced by in-ear monitoring solutions. Installing it close to the audio interface or mixing console keeps analogue cable runs short, helping minimise interference and unwanted noise. Each channel accepts either mono or stereo sources, with the left input doubling as a conventional mono connection when required.

Power where it matters
The Millenium HP4 delivers a clean signal with enough headroom to satisfy demanding headphone loads and high-volume monitoring requests. Higher-end headphone amplifiers may reveal greater detail, but a high level of resolution isn't critical for tracking sessions: What matters is that each individual mix is reliable and is distributed with sufficient power to every musician in the room - a role that the HP4 performs reliably and without fuss. About Millenium
Millenium is one of Thomann's in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store's range since 1995. Headphone monitoring made practical
Distributing headphone signals to a full band, a vocal ensemble, or a brass section typically involves complex signal routing. The Millenium HP4's four stereo inputs simplify this considerably – each channel can access any of the four inputs via a single rotary switch, allowing the engineer to switch instantly between individual monitor mixes while creating and refining cue sends. As an in-ear monitoring amplifier, the HP4 works particularly well alongside a digital rack mixer, where four independent monitor mixes can be created quickly and distributed without complication. The auxiliary outputs allow additional HP4 units to be cascaded, extending the total number of headphone feeds without a fixed upper limit.
