Just love it!

It arrived safe and sound after a wait shorter than expected.
So far using it at home and having lots of fun. It's really sturdy as usual when it comes to Electro Harmonix. Using an expression pedal with it is amazing, and each of the parameters can be controlled by it individually. A tap switch is also supported but I haven't tried it and don't think I need it. I've started experimenting with the effect loop and it seems there are many possibilities for manipulating the wet signal without altering the dry one. A reverb in the effects loop helps building dreamy landscapes. The only thing I would like to be able to control would be the attack of each of the repeats, so as to avoid hearing the pluck of the guitar string repeatedly. I guess that's probably the same with all these analog delay pedals. I have an old version of the Earthquaker Disaster Transport, which is also lovely, but lacks the more sophisticated control of the Deluxe Memory Man TT550. The looks is super cool, a modernised design of the traditional Memory Man, with more knobs, more control, and in green, my favourite colour!

THE analog delay pedal

I searched and searched, and just couldn't find anything that compares to the original. Sure, there are very good sounding alternatives, but they are just as big and often more expensive. This is the best of both worlds: the sound of the original in a smaller footprint with tap tempo and a standard 9v power supply. Such a beautiful sound!

Prise en main :
Relativement facile, on peut jouer facilement avec les différents paramètres pour créer des textures intéressantes. Attention avec le feedback qui, lorsqu'il est trop poussé, peut créer des boucles infinies.
Les modes en triplets, croches pointées sont pratiques mais plus complexes à gérer.

Caractéristiques :
Le Tap est pour moi essentiel pour caler le tempo en live.
Beaucoup de possibilités, il manque juste la possibilité de memoriser des réglages (un contacteur permettant de switcher sur 2 presets mémorisables par exemple aurait été top).
Pour changer de son, il faut modifier en "live" avec les différents potards et donc bien connaitre les effets et dosages...

Son :
Il est important de préciser que cette pédale colore le son est n'est donc pas neutre. Je l'utilise pour la guitare essentiellement et on a une coloration assez importante dans les aiguës. Le son résultant reste chaleureux et donne un coup de boost sur les solo.

Qualité de fabrication :
Fabrication de très bonne qualité, boitier métal très solide, c'est sérieux.

Au global :
Je suis satisfait de mon achat car cette pédale a beaucoup de possibilités sonore même si j'ai été surpris par la coloration du son.

bestes analog delay

für mich das beste analog delay überhaupt. ich hatte schon einige (analoge) delays ausporbiert. u.a. ehx memory toy, boy u d deluxe boy. letzteren habe ich immer noch zu hause und für den a/b vergleich verwendet. die chips im memory man klingen in der tat weniger dumpf und in meinen ohren besser. ob der unterschied den preis rechtfertigt sei dahingestellt. was mich allerdings überzeugt ist die möglichkeit, den fuß auf dem tap taster zu lassen um damit die delays hochschaukeln zu lassen. das kann der memory boy nicht! wobei mir die noise / pitch sounds bei verändern der delay und feedback parameter beim memory boy fast besser gefallen. daher beim sound 1 stern abzug.
die zusätzlichen features wie modulation, expr. pedal, punktierte delays, etc. tun alle ihren zweck,brauch ich aber nicht wirklich. meine kaufentscheidung war, ein analoges delay mit tap tempo zu haben. das ist meines wissens nach von ehx einzigartig
