SSL BUS+

If you want a bus compressor the SSL bus compressor is one you come across separate from DIY machines builds etc. What are the big advantages of the Bus+ in comparison with the standalone buss, in 19" version or 500 series. Does it sound better or is it the complete machine? I would say they really did their homework after some experience in this 'new market'. This machine has all you can think of in one machine. What you don't have is featured in the Fusion so ideally the two together should cover the whole range. I love the sound. Not only the bus compression by it selves but the possibilities with all the filters, the choice of either compressing or expanding with a certain band. The dual mono, stereo or MS function is well thought out. You can see the SSL sound and philosophy of this machine. And the price range is well worth the buck. It's not cheap but also not expensive in comparison what pro audio machines will cost you if you are looking at the upper class machines. Does it survive there in the high classes of audio. I must say, it does. It doesn't beat or win from others but stands strong head high shoulder bold with a SSL sound signature. Well done SSL!
