Works, but bit hard to work with
I used two of these jack connectors to repair two headphones.
The jack has three connection points: left, right and ground. To connect a four wire headphone (like mine were), you'll have to twist the two grounds together.
The holes to pull the wires through were large enough to get even the twisted wire through without too much trouble. The screw-on cap was a real tight fit, especially if you use the plastic cylinder before putting the cap on (not necessary on this one, but definitely on the version with the silver cap).
The pull protection is two pieces of metal you have to clamp together, I wasn't too confident it would work if I would trip over the cable, so I used a little bit of filling at the hole.
The sound is actually pretty good, no worse that the original connections at the least.
All in all it's a functional and well working part, but not the easiest to work with.
