Airturn Digit III

It works with my DAW perfectly. I use this to switch between songs (and play/pause) in live situations. Connect with bluetooth, and it works like a bluetooth keyboard. I use only the middle three buttons set to: left arrow sends 'p' -> previous song, play button set to 'space' -> play/pause (this is default setting in my DAW), right arrow set to 'Shift+R' -> next song. These keystrokes is set to actions on my DAW. It is in the manual below, but you can set 6 types of character sets to the keys. Read the manual before you buy this product.

Had an old rf controller for music ques on my shows but it wasn’t reliable enough so I decided to change for Digit3. Digit has been totally worth it! No more missing commands and rechargeable battery was great feature. Buttons could have more feel in them when pressed since I’m using them blind from back of my belt but that’s only a minor thing. Great and affordable remote. Just watch out for not wandering too far out of Bluetooth range to avoid disconnect.

Gekauft habe ich das Teil, weil ich es bei einem Kollegen gesehen hatte. Programmierbare Tasten fand ich gut. Musste ich haben. Leider habe ich ihn nicht gefragt, ob das Airturn Digit III auch außerhalb der Apple-Welt funktioniert, denn als ich es endlich in meiner Hand hielt, war die Ernüchterung gewaltig. Keine App für Android, somit auch keine Möglichkeit, das Gerät zu programmieren. Meine Software, die ich mit dem Teil nutzen will, reagiert bei keinem der sechs einstellbaren Modi auf eine Taste. Wie auch.
In irgendeiner Ecke der FAQ bei Airturn habe ich gelesen, dass bald eine App für Android folgen soll. Wann, stand nicht da. Ich schicke das Gerät nicht zurück, weil ich immer an das Gute glaube, und so hoffe ich, dass die Entwicklung der App für Android keine zehn Jahre dauern wird. Und dann kann ich auch meine Bewertung ändern. Nach oben, oder auch nach unten.

Update: Die Andoid App ist inzwischen verfügbar und der Controller arbeitet an meinem Tablet jetzt zuverlässig. Ich habe die Punktzahl auf das Maximum gesetzt.
