Good quality

German quality and worth the price even if that seems a bit high compared the copies out there. They have made the screw one piece with the button as opposed to 2 pieces, plus you will need an hex/allen key to screw them in. Also be aware that the screw thickness is a bit bigger than the previous models so you may need to widen the hole on your guitar/bass a bit first a little to avoid finish cracking. The latch that goes on your strap are a big improvement over the older version with a tiny set screw to hold the second piece in place, the old ones would come loose after a while but these will remain there until you want to remove them. They come in a fancy box which I am sure is not needed and they could do with supplying the allen key. Buy with confidence a very good product for sure.

Be slightly careful of these

On the whole these are better than the old Schaller strap locks: the attachment to the strap is much easier to do and there is a grub screw which means that once you've got everything right and tightened it up on the strap then it will stay that way (you need a fairly fine flatbladed screwdriver for this, but you don't need to do it up).
But there is a critical design problem. The strap buttons themselves are now integral with the screws that go into the guitar (this was not the case for the older locks), and these screws may be larger than the existing ones. If that's the case for your guitar then screwing the buttons into the guitar will widen the holes in the guitar and mean you can never put the old buttons back. Worse, it could possibly split the wood of the guitar which would be very bad (it did not for me).
So I would look for an older set of buttons if possible.

Fits perfectly on a Gibson Les Paul
Kerri 01.06.2020
I searched if this would fit a Gibson nicely or if it would require for the original strap hole to be widen and couldn't find much information. The screws on my Gibson were nearly 4mm wide and the Schaller locks that come in this pack are 4mm.
I did not have to force the screws in, it was an effortless task altough I suspect that the original screws might not be as grippy as they were if I ever put them back on, for re-sale purposes.
In short, you do not have to widen your original strap holes with any kind of tool if your buying for a Gibson Les Paul as the screws are nearly identical. Do be aware that Fender and PRS stock strap screws are thinner as I have one of both and they seem more like 3,5mm rather than the Schaller 4mm.

Definetly worth it

For years I've been using Harley Benton strap locks and I've been happy with them for the most part, however recently I decided to gamble on one of these. The difference in build quality is clear, they never unscrew, they latch on perfectly and honestly they just feel so sturdy which just gives me extra comfort. Also the screws are a little wider than on the Harley Benton ones which I think is good, because I had case where the HB screw was too thin for the guitar. These for sure ain't going nowhere.
