Sturdy design, but gives some signal loss
TLH 14.08.2023
It's a sturdy design, has some weight to it and feels like a quality build. Does introduce some signal loss, but that's normal for a passive design.

Design errors
AudioDesigner 07.06.2026
This has two transformers inside on the same input, providing two completely isolated outputs plus a thru that is not isolated.
The two transformers magnetizing inductance creates a high pass filter with the output resistance of the line out driving it. I tried using it for my Fractal, and the 1kohm output resistance with the ds20 formed a cut off around 200-500Hz. The fractals 1kohm is in the higher end of the scale for line outs, but the designers in UK should have anticipated it.
If your line out is in the 100ohm range, then your cutoff will be around 20-50Hz.
Another interesting design error is the ground lift. It is no lift, since the input and output grounds stay connected by a 10k resistor when lifted. That's just bad engineering choice in my opinion.
This thing may be ideal for regular household/studio stuff, since the transformers are adequate, but there are better ones for live use.

Great for field work

We delivered few pieces to the broadcasting company but also kept few for ourselves. It showed great results, very flat response and can work with high level line signals without audible distortion. Great housing with protected edges!
