Perfect with a Motu Ultralite Mk5
Keybits 05.02.2025
This is a superb quality device in a compact format. If you're looking for an 8in 8out ADAT expander I can't think of anything else that comes close for the money.

I considered getting 2 Arturia boxes, an X8 IN and and X8 out for a similar price, but that would mean 2 boxes and they don't have the ability to control levels with a dial and display like the Ferrofish does.

Highly recommended.

.
Stellar piece of kit.

Ran out of I/O on my interface, after getting on the 500 series train. I was tempted to get a new interface with more analog I/O ports,.but the cost was too prohibitive.

I decided to explore other options. The Pulse8 Æ had recently been released. It seemed like a perfect fit for my setup, it got great reviews from sources I trust, and was only a third of the cost of upgrading my interface.

This unit does a fantastic job. Converters are transparent. Meters are responsive and easy to read. Settings menu is intuitive and well thought out.

I'm using it in conjunction with a Motu 828 (2024 rev.) Word clock via BNC.
I have no issues, this unit is a keeper.

Absolutes Meisterwerk!
DeNto DeNt 09.06.2025

Mein weiterer Tipp: Den DAC-Filter auf "Minimum Phase Fast Roll-Off" umstellen.
