I’m a convert

After 20 years playing metal exclusively, it was time for a change.

You always hear the default in Metal and Hard rock is to use Humbuckers. I always thought it was the case and never bothered to test the difference or push the limits of other types of pickups, and after installing these after listening to Rabea Massaad Demo them, I am so sorry I ever believed that.

These pickups are great for anything you throw at them, downtuned heavy metal included. Great harmonics, real growl as you turn the gain up, and incredible capture of player nuances along the strings. If you’ve only ever used humbuckers, you’re going to nituce things in your picking angle and attack that you never would have, and this will force you to be a better player if you have unknowingly gotten into bad habits. With that said, the greater capture of those nuances can really open up your instrument to you so that you understand it better.

These pickups will go from smooth and glassy to a growl and all the way to vicious snarling as you change your playing dynamics and start cranking the gain a little. I highly recommend then for their tone and clarity.
