Quite a.. brutal sound, you could say.

I bought these pickups for a project guitar I bought just shy of a year ago, mostly for the fact I've wanted to try out P90s for a long time, but also because I've had a positive experience with Bare Knuckle in the past.

They've got a great, crunchy sound that you'd expect out of a set of P90s, that surprisingly even works great for metal from what my ears heard. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to actually solder the ground, but once I got over that hurdle, it was smooth sailing.

It'd be a long read if I typed out all the different sounds they've done that sounded great to me and described them. But I will tell you that they're wonderful for heavy distortion, overdrive, clean, and even with fuzz in some situations. A great buy if you're looking at P90s.

Die Bare Knuckle brute force P90 aus der Boot Camp Serie sind gut für die härtere Gangart, klar. Aber nicht nur: das fein abgezirkelte Dynamikver-
halten, die sich bis in die überraschende Feinfühligkeit fortsetzende An-
sprache auf sanftes Picking oder hartes Shredden,daß sich durch die sehr sensible Ansprache der jew. Pole-Piece Höhe fortsetzt, macht diesen Pickup zur
Geheimwaffe für vielerlei Stilarten.Die unbändige Kraft kann durch einen
Grundsatz zur Vielseitigkeit beitragen:"If you hit them hard they will hit back harder!" Und umgekehrt!!!
Ansonsten ist dieses Teil ein P90 durch+durch! Also immer ein wenig knurrig+dirty!Der Clean-Sound ist knackig, als hätte jemand den Staub von den Lautsprechern gepustet! Dabei durchaus für z.B. Blues geeignet, oder aber für alles, was zwischen Stoner-- Metalcore und auch Punk in allen seinen Spielarten liegt...
Das Einsatzgebiet, also die Gitarre in die diese PUs verbaut werden können,
ist jede P90 bestückte Klampfe, die dringend bessere PUs braucht! Natürlich spielt der Geschmack und die Spielrichtung eine große Rolle bei der Frage, ob dies nun die richtigen P90 sind! Ich habe meine Brute Force in
eine Squier Stratosonic einbauen lassen-- naja, der Luthier hat einen Superjob gemacht, denn die Gitarre hat eine doch anspruchsvolle Schaltung, mit Parallel+Out of Phase Position, da habe ich mich (noch) nicht
so recht rangetraut.Das Verbauen ist um einiges günstiger als gedacht- Thomann-typisch.Und diese High Output-Pickups out of phase zu hören,
ist echt geil... Danke auch noch mal an die Gitarren-Werkstatt von Thomann!
