The sound engine is quite nicely featured with two identical layers:
-1 sound source ( sine, saw, noise )
- pitch mod with positive or negative value with 3 modulators ( decay envelope, sine LFO (that goes to audio rates), and a noise)
-AR envelope for the final tone
-send level per layer for the wave guide part
16 step sequencer with ratchet function, step jump lets you do fills.
On the cons side:
- I don't like that when you are editing the sounds, when you go to another layer, or drum part, the value you are editing will jump to where the knob is - there is no soft takeover of any sort.
- A digital resonant filter per drum part would be awesome to see, but for the price, I can't really blame KORG for the lack of it.
-Envelope shapes are what they are, I would want a more sustaining shape, but its a matter of opinion.
