I had this gutar for about six months now and I'm very glad I bought it. By now I used it for several shows and many rehearsals and it did good.
The guitar features split coil alnico pickups so you can really choose from a wide palette of different sounds. You can set your pickup switch in the middle position, split the coils and you will get a really nice, sparkly sound that nobody would expect from a hard rock, mahagony body guitar. As opposed to that, engage whole pickups and set the switch to the bridge and you'll be rocking and rolling in a second.
Other that that the neck on this guitar is really fast, and the action can get pretty low.
If I'd have to say something bad about this guitar, I would have to compare it to a Les Paul Studio that costs a LOT more money. Bad sides would be its weight because it's not a chambered guitar like Les Pauls and a bit muddier pickups.
All in all, if you're looking for a versatile, really good quality for the price, I highly recomend Schecter Omen 6 Extreme.
