Fender Hendrix Voodoo Child BU NPS

I bought these for my Stratocaster as I thought that the floating bridge should be exactly what it says on the tin. The problem was that with other string brands, after rough session I would have to stop and re-tune everything. I used bullet type strings before but I wanted to see would these really had the "sound impact" as advertised.

It is hart to describe the sound. The heavy top and light bottom makes them perfect for all types of rock whether you play lead or want to pull off an ear melting solo. Heavy tops give you base and power while the lighter bottoms are just so well balanced and pure in sound! I can pull and push on the bridge and these strings are just staying in tune. Of course once a time you have to set the tuning, as always but after trying so many strings for mid-heavy playing - this is my permanent choice now.

That quality for this price? You can't go wrong! It's only couple of $ so go and give it a shot!

The sound of these strings is incredible. The super thin low E retains its high end clarity so well, unlike any other set of strings I’ve ever played. The top three strings are chunky enough to give you something to bend against but certainly don’t fight back much. The bullet ends fit perfectly into a floating bridge; the purpose of the bullet is to reduce string movement inside the bridge during bends or big dive bombs with the whammy bar and so far they seem to be holding up well: I’ve had fewer tuning issues with these than any other set of strings I’ve tried on my Strat. The only issue I have is they lost their new string sheen quite fast. They’re certainly far from dead after a week, but they don’t feel only a week old.

Ich kaufte diese Saiten ursprünglich einfach so zum Spass, weil sie günstig sind und ich Hendrix liebe... und wurde vom Hammer getroffen!! Ich hätte nie gedacht welche Auswirkungen die Saitenstärke auf den Sound hat. Mir war immer klar dass man den Unterschied von 9er oder 10er zu 11er oder 12er gut hört. Jedoch hätte ich nie gedacht dass zwischen den normalen 10-46 Saiten und diesem 10-38 Set ein solch grosser Unterschied herrscht. Es klingt sofort nach Hendrix, ich könnte jetzt noch heulen vor Freude!! Auch die nur etwas dünnere G Saite macht extrem viel aus. Dazu kommt, dass sich diese Saiten so super leicht und bequem spielen lassen, ohne sich gleich zu verstimmen und ohne gleich so Hyper-sensibel auf alles in der Umgebung zu reagieren wie es z.B. 9er Saiten gerne tun. Die Haltbarkeit ist auch top! Keine Ahnung woran das liegt aber ich hatte mit diesen Srtings bisher einen (interessanterweise) deutlich weniger hohen verschleiss als die Jahre davor. Nun denn, mir soll's recht sein !! Nach langem experimentieren mit allen möglichen Brands und Stärken fand ich nausgerechnet mit diesen Jimi Strings die perfekten Stimmbänder für meine Stratocaster <3 .

Le faible tirant des graves donne un son vraiment impressionnant et les bullets end améliorent le sustain. Montées sur ma stratocaster, le son "Hendrixien" est bluffant. Je ne monte désormais plus que ces cordes après les avoir découvertes.
Une contrainte cependant, sur une stratocaster, le chevalet étant flottant il faut régler les ressorts de rappel pour compenser le faible tirage. Mais franchement, ça en vaut la largement la peine.
