Avenger VPS 2 is one of the most powerful software synths I've ever used, capable of generating studio-quality productions inside of itself, spanning all musical genres. The separately sold expansion libraries are vast and astounding. When this one goes on sale, buy it. Highly recommend.

Vengeance provides sounds, while CVA Audio develops Avenger’s core engine (Nexus is an RFX product with Vengeance supplying content). VPS Avenger combines modules from earlier Vengeance plugins (FX Bundles, samplers, drum machines) into one unified synth. Version 2 moves closer to a modular system, like a virtual Eurorack (e.g., VCV Rack), allowing flexible routing and randomization. Despite a higher price tag, Avenger 2 replaces multiple plugins (synths, samplers, FX), making it cheaper and more convenient long-term. Popular among performers, often used for auto-accompaniment (drums, bass, chords, solos from single keys).

Tips for Reaper Users: Disable undo tracking for knob tweaks and adjust MIDI settings to lower CPU spikes.
