A Must for LTD EC 401

Great replacement for the original LTD EC 401 bridge. The original got rusty over the years and the saddles couldn't be used anymore to set a correct intonation as they got stuck.

The TonesPros T3BT-C is just a perfect replacement: fits perfectly on the original posts (I didn't even need to replace those with the ones coming with the new bridge), plus I could tighten the two smalls screws on each post to secure the bridge so it doesn't fall off if I remove the strings and turn the guitar upside-down.

I needed just to file the slots for each string for the correct gauge. In fact, although the saddles are pre-notched (and the spacing is perfect for the EC 401), the strings would slip over the slots because those are not deep and wide enough. The whole process took me not more than one minute though (and it was the very first time that I was doing that): you'd need just the right tools (I used the Goldo Double Edge Nut File bought from Thomann).

After the replacement, I was able to get a perfect intonation.

The sound changed and now is fuller on every string, with some more middle (more Gibson-ish).

Way way better than the original bridge! Highly recommended!

Bought this for my Epiphone Les Paul and it improved the playability drastically. Absolutely brilliant, couldn't recommend this enough. I am yet to try the Gotoh version but this is very very good

Projekt 1:
Nachdem bei meiner Epiphone Sheraton 2 (Bauj.89) , der Steg und das Stop Tailpiece abgenutzt waren , hatte ich sie durch das TonePros System ausgetauscht .
Also Austausch 1zu1 war schon mal nicht möglich, die Originalteile waren 2mm schmaler. Nun denn , alte Teile ausbauen ,Löcher verschließen , ausmessen, neue Bohrungen und die neuen TonePros Teile einbauen. Nanu ,auf einmal klingt die Gitarre wie Hölle , viel mehr Sustain . Bin begeistert,der Aufwand war zwar ziemlich groß aber das Ergebnis : als hätte man eine neue eingespielte Gitarre in der Hand. Super!!
Projekt 2 :
Epiphone Les Paul Bauj. 94
War so überrascht von dem Ergebnis , hab's an meiner Epi LP ebenso
gemacht .Na dann , alte Teile raus..... und siehe da, 2mm zu schmal . Was für ein Jammer .
Löcher zu , ausmessen, etc. etc. etc.
Bei dieser Git. hab Ich auch noch die Bünde gewechselt ,abgerichtet
und den Hals eingestellt . Angespielt und ....... Halleluja!!!
Die LP war immer meine Hauptgitarre ,aber so hab Ich sie noch nie
gehört. Sustain ohne Ende , voller resonanter Ton einfach Klasse .
Beide Gitarren sind noch Made in Korea , vielleicht lag es deshalb an den kleineren Maßen .
Der Aufwand hat sich auf jedenfall gelohnt .
