Thomann TRB-31B Bass Recorder

Basovou flétnu jsem koupila za účelem rozšíření hráčských znalostí a dovedností žáků v hodinách sopránové flétny a také jako posilu do souborové hry fléten na hudební škole, kde vyučuji.

Mile mě překvapilo nejen samotné zpracování nástroje včetně příslušenství, ale také snadná tvorba tónu a celkově líbivý zvuk.
Cena nástroje je v poměru kvalita/výkon opravdu více jak příznivá.

To start off, i am a beginner to the recorder, and only started on the soprano last year with 2 learning books.

The bass recorder came in a handy bag, with some grease for the joints, a fingering chart (super satisfied about that) and a cleaning stick (rag, or "swab"? not attached).

Assembly of the bass recorder was very intuitive, and i had no trouble getting it set up to play.

When it comes to the tone, you can clearly hear that it's a plastic instrument, but since the tone is so low in pitch, and the instrument is rather big, it doesn't make any negative impact on the instruments sound at all.
The tone is warm, airy, full and it is rather satisfying to play.

As i am a beginner, i can't give a review based on expertise, since i don't know if it is my technique or the flute that fails, but at the very lowest register, it can be a bit challenging to not get into the overtones. I do suspect however that this is due to my "newbie techniques".

Overall this flute is a no-brainer for anyone who is curious about bass-recorders, and for the price you really can't go wrong.

Very satisfied with Thomann, yet again

To be honest I went for this purely on the price so I was worried it was going to be poor - how wrong was I?! I did see a review on YouTube from Team Recorder on this model saying how good it was but I was dubious. After receiving it I can confirm how good it is. Going from a Tenor to Bass I was concerned about the size and the fingering but this is perfect. Low notes are nice and deep yet clear and minimal/no wolf tones with correct breath control. I really like this bass recorder and will be recommending it. Not everyone needs a wooden bass and most don’t want to pay the cost. This is a great price and performs great too.

Für den Preis ein gutes Instrument zum Ausprobieren bzw. für den privaten Hobbygebrauch. Es macht Freude, darauf zu spielen!
Es klingt etwas luftig (Geschmackssache, im Bass durchaus schön...)
Für drei Töne im tiefen Register kann die Intonation durch alternative Griffe (abweichend von der mitgelieferten Grifftabelle) verbessert werden: Bb klingt besser ganz ohne den kleinen Finger, dafür das B (deutsch H) besser mit dem kleinen (halbes Loch), cis/des wiederum vereinfacht ohne den vierten Finger.
