Reasonable replacement cable.

Bought it for SE535.
This cable has less microphonics (friction noice produced by cord) than original that was on the headphones.
The remote control on this cable is somewhat large, if you care about aesthetics, but works with iPhone as expected.
Connectors snap to headphones nicely and sit there tight.

Length of the cord is perfect when carrying the phone in the front jeans pockets.

Handy accessory

This is a handy addition to Shure headphones meaning you can listen to music on your phone and answer calls without removing the headphones. I have noticed slight connection issues on occasion, but nothing too serious.

Bent connectors – trashed headphones (and cable frequently breaks)

Purchased a new RMCE after my 3rd pair suffered the same fate as its predecessors – cable broken internally just at the end of the strain relief on the connector side, so no more audio on left ear, after about a year of use. A 90° connector and/or more proper strain relief would be nice here (the current one is basically just cosmetic rather than actually functional).

When the new RMCE arrived, I connected it to my IEMs but the "click"-sound when connecting it was strange. On closer inspection, the metal contacts in the receptacle on my headphones for the centre pin had snapped off. So my headphones are mangled irreparably. Turns out that the RMCE arrived with completely bent central pins on both sides. Thomann support says this damage self-inflicted though. Do not buy.

Great functionality but only lasted 3 months

This cable with mic and volume adjuster is great for taking calls, listening to music and for plugging in as In-ear monitors.
The review would be 5 stars but the cable only lasted 3 months before inexplicably cutting out entirely on the left side. I prefer wired in-ears so they were great for my Shure215s but I really wish the cord lasted longer.
