Not the best
It is not the best I could imagine. Sliding the mic in and out is it not so obvious. It tends to stick to the inner rubber. Test the shock attenuation and I could not find any real benefit.

Isolates the mic from vibration very well
These mounts really do isolate the mics from vibration effectively, as well as a suspension mount or maybe better, but the problem is that the mic may sag, so you need to find a way to balance it in the mount. This is the one the President uses for speaking into a pair of SM57's with the A57 AWS so if it's good enough for that job it's good enough for us.
It fits an M88TG nicely but the barrel of an M160 is too small (or you can wrap some tape around it). It's designed to fit SM and Beta 57's and 58's and similar. If you fit it at the balance point and clamp the cable to support the back of the mic then it will stay in place but it has a tendency to sag.
But it really does isolate the mic from vibrations very well. If you thump the table or stand with this mic on it using this mount then little of the noise will be heard in the mic.

Very good quality shock mount
Using it on my SM58 and it's perfect, you just slip in the microphone and done.

I bought this with the SM57 mic - and glad I did. Easy to use and does a good job in isolating table/stand shocks. It's a simple and well constructed extra that's worth the investment as it takes out one of the many extraneous factors that can adversely affect ones recording.

Works Well - Though Not Pretty
If you want a shock mount for the likes of SM57 / SM58 this is the official Shure one.
Pros:
It provide good isolation from knocks and vibrations.
Good built quality and materials.
Cons:
- Fitting the Mic into the mount is not the easiest.
- Though it holds secure it does not always sit very well / straight in the mount
- Awkward to adjust.
It does the job it's made for well. While handling and appearance could be better the build quality is good.

Great piece of kit
I wasn't sure about picking this us as I felt the mic clip that comes with the SM57 would be fine but this clip is so much better, it really isolates the mic from noise and vibrations like housemates thumping around or traffic vibrations etc its great.

Awesome grip on the microphone!!
I like this shock mount. its light, easy to set up and grips the microphone perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Does the job
Its kind of ugly and sits a bit weirdly sometimes but it does work fine. I use with Shure SM57.
