I seriously don't think that you can get a better case for the money.

There where a few drawbacks in terms of construction, that could be instantly modified with just a screw driver

The bow holders where not positioned where they should be to allow for four bows to be stored without one touching another. I removed the screws and placed them where I wanted to, problem solved.

The case is indeed tight for some violins, but the inside material can be gently pushed by hand, and stay where you want to, providing a safe place for you instrument that allows it to move slightly and absorb any shock the right way.

The hygrometer was functional, but if you live in another country you know that it needs calibrating. Instead of doing this (that you could do, there are many websites offering instructions for this) I just replaced it with a calibrated one.

If you find that the suspension cushion near the neck could be replaced by something bigger on some violins, in order to avoid the scroll touching the bottom of the case. But a soft cloth could just do fine.

I added a humidifier, and the conditions remain stable, meaning that it is also good at weather protection

When closed, it feels even more sturdy that opened. It was once accidentally dropped in the floor, from the height of my shoulder, and the instrument that was inside did not even need any tuning


I don't mainly use the backpack straps, but I guess they are ok. Their position however, serves as an extra cushion under your case.


The lining inside feels very soft, and the case feels very protective and sturdy, All these made me do all this alterations above, and it is really worth both buying and the modifications if you think they are necessary

I bought this case because I find this case to be quite reasonable, price/quality wise. When the case arrived, it looks very 'sophisticated'. I like the color accent and the stability of the suspension system it offers. However, I saw a burnt mark on one of the velvet sides. When I look into closing mechanism, it does not really secure. Moreover, my violin fits quite tightly in there. On top of that, the zipper can be problematic at times.

So, in conclusion
Pros
- good 'bang for the buck' case
- good suspension system that offers stability of your violin
- good color choices

Cons:
- closing mechanism not secure
- zipper can be problematic
- a bit too small for 4/4 violin
- expect other defects here and there.
