Despite of its name it doesn't mean that this bell is only for playing in timbales setting, tho it will be a great part of it if you play percussion. Timbale bell has the same deep tone as mambo cowbell by LP, but it's pitch is a little higher. I prefer to use it with gajate percussion holder and play clave with my left foor, cause its definetely sounds cool if you play on it in drum-set setting some latin fusion stuff
