The ease of use means you can use it for practice or rehearsal and in 2 seconds take it off for a performance. The black model has a nice surface texture that is comfortable to hold and provides a secure grip. Some have reported a positive affect to their tone. The difference may be down to a matter of taste. If you use a hand guard this one works the BEST and is worth the price.
