Ibanez AS73-TBC

The overall guitar impression is very nice, looks more expensive than currently is. The surface is very glossy with a nice laminated wood structure beneath. Neck and headstock are nicely build as well, the pearl decorated Ibanez logo makes the impression even nicer. Surprisingly the guitar is quite heavy, probably due the usage of solid wood as a center block. This contributes to a good sustain. Sound was clean mellow on the neck pickup, changing to brightly sound on a bride pickup. My guitar was built in Indonesia and a label informs a quality check passed. The only problem I found was a slightly higher 3rd fret, by which the overall string height had to be set up higher than it could, otherwise a string rattle appears while playing on 2nd position. This can be adjusted by a guitar repair service though.
