Great budget alternative to Fender branded part

This is basically the exact same part as the original Fender part which I have. The only difference being the shielding on the back of the pick guard which I covered in conductive copper tape anyway. All of the holes line up perfectly in my USA Strat. You'd be a fool to pay so much for the Fender part when this Harley Benton Part is so good for such a low price.

It feels decent enough and not cheap. Some small scratches were noticeable underneath the protective cover, but nothing too bothersome. On the other hand, what really bummed me out, was the fact that it did NOT match the guitar I bought it for.

I had bought it for a Harley Benton ST-20 and the screw holes did not align.

I also tried to put it on a Harley Benton ST-62 and the screw holes did not align there either.

Warning - Does not fit ST-62!

This is a nice pickguard but it doesn't fit the ST-62 I purchased it for. It's too big and required sanding in order to fit between the neck and bridge. The holes also don't line up with the ones on the guitar.

Fitted it eventually and it looks great but Thomann should make it clear that this isn't a like for like swap with the parts they have on their guitars!

Fits my HB ST-62 BK Vintage

Well it almost fitted but I had to file/sand a few tiny millimetres near the saddle. But by doing those adjustments you put a little bit of you in the guitar.
All in all couldn't recommend more. I wish Thomann had more color offering in these guitar parts.

Really good 3 ply shielded scratchplate. Perfect for standard 11 hole Fender Stratocaster guitars. My only issue was that the area surrounding the pickups was not shielded only the pots and 5 way switch but this can be easily corrected. Never the less a good piece of kit and certainly one of the cheapest if your looking to make an aesthetic improvement on your guitar. In my particular case the neck pocket didn't quite fit on my Strat but this is down to it being deeper than usual on my particular guitar this was easily fixed by filing down to the necessary depth. (This should fit 90% of genuine Fender guitars and for the price you can't really go wrong!)
