Great pickups

Bought these to replace the stock pickups in a 2008 Ibanez Gsr205. I measured the originals and found these to be a perfect fit. The listing doesn't state it but the normal J set that these are the same as, except the size, can be used for a 4 or 5 string. They went in easily and the instructions were clear and got it sounding great in hardly any time. They sound fantastic and I would recommend to anyone with a need for replacements for the same bass or needing this configuration.

I really like how it fits to mix, sounds much better than the sound of original Squier JB set. About instalation: wires a bit longer than I needed, and it was a bit hard to close the plate after instalation, but not unreal.
As a result, I like its spec. and solderless instalation system, so it was a good investment :)

Top Pickup und bester Pickup für den Thomann Bass Bausatz "Harley Benton Bass Guitar Kit J-Style"

Vorab:
Bridge-Pickup vom EMG MJ SET passt direkt,
Hals/Schlagbrett-Pickup muss am Schlagbrett 2x2mm (minimal)
nachgearbeitet werden!

Ein wenig Aufwand ist das nötige Batteriefach
(Thomann - Göldo Battery Box)

Das rechteckige Loch für die Battery Box muss 24x56mm und ca. 33mm tief sein.

Mit einem 24mm und einem 12mm Stechbeitel ist man gut
dabei. Die Göldo Battery Box hat einen Rand von ca. 3mm
und verdeckt so das Loch. Ungenauigkeiten werden so
sehr gut verdeckt...

Habe für das Loch ca. 30min gebraucht, hat Spass gemacht...

Heiko Rech zeigt in seinem Video mit perfektion wie es geht:
"VLOG #63 - Präzise arbeiten mit Stemmeisen - so geht's"
...einfach bei Youtube suchen.

Der Sound
des Pickup Set ist gut, bin noch bei der Erarbeitung der richtigen Lage (Höhe) der Pichups. aktuell und OK ist ca. 8mm abstand zur
dicken (E) Saite und ca. 5mm zur dünnen (G) Saite.

Die Verarbeitung
ist sehr gut, EMG halt...

Die Anleitung ist Top!
Fehlverdratungspotential = keines, lesen und nach Anleitung verbinden...

Wer den Bass zum Einbau der Pickups demontiert hat sollte
sich jetzt auch um das Auslegen des Bass mit
EMI/Abschirmungs- Folien/Bänder aus Kupfer kümmern.

Mit Kupfer ist das Verlöten/Verbinden der einzelnen Bereiche
(Bridge-Pickups, Hals-Pickup, Hardware/Elektronik) mit Masse
sehr einfach. (Thomann - Göldo EL900 Profi Shield Screen)
Würde ich im übrigen bei allen E-Instrumenten machen an
denen es noch nicht gemacht wurde.
Die Störempfindlichkeit wird deutlich schlechter und die Störungen weniger...

Gesamt: Kaufen und Spass haben...
